OUR STORY
A place that’s been bringing people together since 1961
The Rosebud Over 50s Social Club has been a cornerstone of the Mornington Peninsula community for more than six decades. Formed in 1961, the club has grown steadily over the years — guided by volunteers who genuinely care about creating a welcoming space for people to connect, stay active, and enjoy life.
Our first major expansion in 1985 added the car park and extended our facilities, opened by Cr J.M. Turner on the 25th of July 1985. A second extension in 1991 introduced the Annex, giving us the capacity to host more activities, opened by Cr Les Thomas on the 18th of April 1991.
Most recently, the club underwent a significant renovation in early 2026 — including new heating and cooling, a new roof and fully refurbished floors completed by the council. The refreshed facilities reopened on the 4th of May 2026, and the club is looking better than ever.
WHO WE ARE
The club is open to anyone over 50 years of age and is entirely volunteer-run — from the committee that keeps things ticking along, to the friendly faces who welcome you at the door.
We don’t get bogged down with rules and regulations. Our focus is on creating a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere where members feel at home — whether they’ve been coming for twenty years or are just walking in for the first time.
Membership is just $15 annually, and most activities are great value. Come down and check us out — you’re always welcome.
What We Offer
Fitness & Wellness
Chair yoga, tai chi, Zumba, and exercise classes — something for every fitness level.
Dancing
Ballroom dance classes, line dancing, and regular social dances — Tuesday afternoons and the second Saturday evening of the month.
Social Afternoons
Regular afternoons with live entertainment in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Entry prices may vary.
Snooker & Billiards
Monday mornings and Thursday nights — two 3/4-sized tables in a relaxed setting.
Coffee & Chat
Thursday mornings — a friendly cuppa and good conversation with fellow members.
Games & Cards
Fun and friendship with a variety of games and cards throughout the week.

The Rosebud Room
Our main hall seats up to 250 people and features a raised stage and full audio-visual system — perfect for live entertainment, social evenings, and community events.
The Annex
Our annex seats up to 150 people, offering a flexible space for smaller events, activities, and gatherings.
Snooker & Pool Room
Two 3/4-sized snooker and pool tables — a popular spot for members looking for a relaxed game and good company.
Commercial Kitchen
A fully equipped commercial-standard kitchen supporting catering for club events and functions.
